Description The High council met this evening in the Lord's House for prayer and exhortations.

Samuel Smith replaces Jared Carter as president … proceeded to choose a president in room of Jared Carter recently moved to the West, and made choice of Samuel H. Smith to fill said office … president: of what?
Samuel makes some remarks.
Lyman Sherman replaces Jared Carter on high council Brother Lyman Sherman having been chosen to fill the place of Brother Carter, was then ordained an High Priest and councilor in the Church of Latter Day Saints.
Report counselors absent without excuse Vote to report counselors absent without reasonable excuse to the church "as a delinquent."
Adjourn Adjourn to Sunday, 4 p.m.
Vote to send Brother Redfield to see Brother Granger.
