  Nov. 17, 1835 Wilford Woodruff Organizes branch, ordains Daniel Thomas a teacher, rides 12 miles to Brother Loy's to view signs in the heavens: 3 clouds look like fire and blood rising from the earth into the air in the north, east, and west, frequently changing places. WWJ 1:48–49.
  Sept. 2–4, 1836  Wilford Woodruff, David W. Patten Conference. Several branches represented totalling 119 members. Johnson F. Lane, Benjamin L. Clapp, and Randolph Alexander ordained elders, Lindsey Bradey a priest. 5 baptisms at close. ¶ Wilford Woodruff (h1)

Louisville / Jefferson
    History Site possibly visited by La Salle in 1669 or 1670. Two-thousand-acre tract surveyed by British in 1773. Virginia legislature incorporated Louisville in 1780, honoring the French role in the Revolutionary War. Steamboat traffic began in 1811.

  Oct. 15, 1835 Wilford Woodruff "Rode to Mr Clapps on Taropen. Preached at his house." WWJ 1:45.
Dec. 1835 Wilford Woodruff Baptizes 8 on one occasion since September 21. Wilford Woodruff, MA 2, no. 3 (Dec. 1835): 238.
May 28, 1836 David W. Patten, chair; Warren Parrish, sec., Wilford Woodruff Attend conference at Seth Utley's. Priest Benjamin Clapp represents Taropen branch of 28. WWJ 1:72.
